Meet at the Sedro-Woolley Food Pavilion at 7:30 am, where maps will be distributed. These hikes are dangerous if Artist’s Point is fogged in. Both are up to 8 miles, with 1500 ft elevation gain for Chain Lakes and 1200 ft elevation gain for Ptarmigan Ridge. Return time for Chain Lakes: 3:00 pm. Return time for Ptarmigan Ridge: 4:00 pm if going to Camp Kiser; 4:30 pm if going to Portals. Everyone returning at stated times is to wait for all to return safely before leaving. Dogs allowed on leash. Northwest Forest Pass required.
