Birding Field Trip - Northern State Rec Area (Sedro-Woolley) - World Migratory Bird Day

Sat., May 10 – Northern State Recreation Area (Sedro-Woolley) – World Migratory Bird Day

We’ll celebrate World Migratory Bird Day as we listen and look for birds returned from their wintering grounds and for year-round residents too. Possibilities include American Bittern, Sora and Virginia Rail, Marsh Wren, Common Yellowthroat, Northern Harrier, Savannah Sparrow, Western Flycatcher, and many more. Please wear sturdy, waterproof footwear and be prepared for the weather. Total walking distance could be up to several miles over good trails. Meet at the Northern State Recreation Area parking area on Helmick Road, just east of Sedro-Woolley on the north side of SR 20 at 8:00 AM.
