Annual Meeting and Program

Our fiscal year-end event features a member potluck, socializing, board elections, a yearly review, and bird celebration. During this captivating session, Thomas Bancroft will guide us through the enchanting melodies of birds, highlighting their distinct calls and the ecological roles they play during the warmer months. Whether you're an avid birder or simply curious about the avian world, this program promises to deepen your appreciation for nature's symphony.

Thomas earned a Ph.D. in Ornithology and studied threatened birds and ecosystems in Florida, creating conservation plans for the Everglades and Florida Keys. In Washington, DC, he led the Research Department at the Wilderness Society and served as Chief Scientist for the National Audubon Society. He combines his scientific knowledge with a personal story to bring his audience into the wilds with a different way of seeing.
