Hike-Green Mountain

This hike is accessed from the Suiattle River road. The hike begins in forest and then enters open meadows and finally climbs to the lookout. 4.4 miles one way to the lookout, 3000 ft elevation gain. 2.5 miles one way to the tarns below the lookout, 1900 ft elevation gain. Carpool from the Chuckanut Park and Ride at 7:30 am or drive directly to the trailhead to arrive at 10:00 am. Hopefully the wildflowers will be awesome. Maybe marmots? Return time is 4 to 6 hours after reaching trailhead depending on how far you go. This is a wilderness hike, which means unexpected circumstances may cause a change in plans.
