Please note, hike destinations may change due to weather or trail conditions. If you are interested in this hike, please email hikes@skagitaudubon.org and ask to be added to our mailing list, where we send out last-minute updates, which are not captured in this calendar.

Up to 12 miles with shorter options available. Meet at 8:15 am in the S.E. corner of the Mt. Vernon Safeway or at 9:00 am at the North Beach picnic shelter at Camano Island State Park. From the North Beach picnic shelter, we will do a loop hike on Roy’s Trail to the Howard Adam’s Trail to the South Rim Trail and back. At this point some hikers may choose to call it a day and scan the waters for whales. Those wanting to add more miles, walk on the road or drive to Cama Beach State Park, then explore the historic cabins and trails there. Maps will be provided. Discover Pass required to park in both parks. Dogs on leash allowed. Restroom available at both parks.

Difficulty: moderate
