Birding Field Trip - Wiley Slough Bird Walk (Conway)

Sat., May 10 – Wiley Slough Bird Walk (Conway) – 10 am until 1 pm

Trip Leader: Jeff Osmundson; contact fieldtrips@skagitaudubon.org

Pre-registration required: see registration information below; Discover Pass required for parking

We’ll meet in the Headquarters parking lot under the pavilion before walking towards the boat launch and then out to the new viewing blind.  Beyond that we will stay on the dike and look for any shorebirds and ducks on the falling tide. Wiley Slough, formally known as the Skagit Wildlife Area, is a wonderful place for beginners to expert birders.  Waterfowl, perching birds, raptors of all types may be seen on a given day. The terrain is generally flat with good footing suitable for most abilities. It can be windy so dress in layers and bring binoculars and scopes if you have them.
