Hike-Pine & Cedar Lakes & Raptor Ridge or Lake Padden

April 05  PINE AND CEDAR LAKES AND RAPTOR RIDGE OR LAKE PADDEN

  • Pine & Cedar/Raptor RidgeHike to two very pleasant lakes in the Chuckanut Mountain area.   Up to 9.4 miles one way with shuttle cars. 1900 ft. total el. gain. The 1.7 mile uphill route from the Pine/Cedar Trailhead is steep. The 5.4 mile down-hill route via the new Raptor Ridge Trail down to the Lost Lake Trail and then on down to the North Chuckanut parking lot is less steep and will lead to Arroyo Park, the Interurban Trail, and finally the North Chuckanut parking lot.. difficult
  • Lake PaddenA number of hike options available from 3.6 to 6.7 or more miles.   Low to moderate elevation gain depending on trails taken.   Easy to moderate
  • FOR BOTH HIKES MEET AT 9:00 AMat the North Chuckanut parking lot located off Chuckanut Drive just north of California Street at about milepost 18.5. Return times and shuttles will be determined then.
  • NOTE TO HIKERSBefore the hike the hike organizer will e-mail you the maps of the trail system around Lake Padden and the Pine/Cedar Lake routes. If you wish to pool rides and drive directly to a Llake Paden parking area, you may begin the hike. You do not have to come to the North Chuckanut lot at 9:00 am and wait for us to pool rides there.   The hike organizer will get the Pine and Cedar/Raptor Ridge hikers' shuttle set up at the Sign In.

Get Membership Information

Skagit Audubon Society holds monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month except for the months of July and August. We meet at 7:00 pm at Padilla Bay Interpretive Center (Google map), 10441 Bayview-Edison Rd. Mount Vernon. Meetings are open to all.

The board of directors meets at the same location at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month, except for the months of July and August.
