Interested in birding around the world?

Join Noah Strycker as he begins his year-long quest of “Birding Without Borders” to see  5,000 bird species. In his own words, “It will be one continuous trip, with no out-andbacks.  In chronological order, I will spend a few days in Antarctica, three and a half months in South America, two months in Central and North America, a week and a half in Europe, two and a half months in Africa, three months in Asia and some Pacific islands, and three weeks in Australia, traveling by short hops.” Scroll to the end of Noah’s introduction on this webpage, and click on any Day you want to read about. The adventure started on New Year’s Day in Antarctica.

Happy New Year

Second place winner was Hawk Mountain, PA, and Bosque del Apache, NM came in third. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service weighed in by noting that five National Wildlife Refuges were among the top ten in USA Today poll.
