Hike-Orcas Island*

JUNE 7  ORCAS ISLAND: LAKES, MT. CONSTITUTION OR TURTLE BACK MT.  NOTE:   DRIVERS NEED TO MAKE WA STATE FERRY RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE   Hiking options on Turtle Back Mountain, Mt Constitution, Mountain and Cascades Lakes. 8 or more miles. Up to 1600 ft elevation gain. Car pools need to be established in advance. Initial meeting time is 6:30 am and the place is the March Point Park-n-Ride. (At the stop light at the intersection of HWY 20 and the Christianson and March Point Roads, turn RIGHT and then an immediate RIGHT turn onto the frontage road and soon turn LEFT into the Park-n-Ride.) We will take the 7:30 am sailing from Anacortes to Orcas Island. No ferry walk-ons as we will need cars on the island.   Ferry fare required. WA State Discover Pass required to park in Moran State Park.   To return to Anacortes one can take the 5:15 pm or the 7:50 pm sailing.

Get Membership Information

Skagit Audubon Society holds monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month except for the months of July and August. We meet at 7:00 pm at Padilla Bay Interpretive Center (Google map), 10441 Bayview-Edison Rd. Mount Vernon. Meetings are open to all.

The board of directors meets at the same location at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month, except for the months of July and August.
