Hike-Skagit River Gorge

Date: Wed. May 31, 2023 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

MAY 31  SKAGIT RIVER GORGE     This hike will begin and end near the North Cascade Institute above Diablo Dam.  Hike 2.9 miles (about 800 ft total el gain) east to the Ross Dam Viewpoint near the power lines or 4.1 miles (about 1600 ft total el gain) east to the Skagit River.   Great views of the Skagit River Gorge along the way.    There should be wildflowers.  Meet at 8:00 a.m. on the east side of the Sedro-Woolley Food Pavilion parking lot.  Return to cars by 2:00 pm. Everyone is to wait for all to return safely before leaving.   Be sure to check for ticks on your body after the hike.

Get Membership Information

Skagit Audubon Society holds monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month except for the months of July and August. We meet at 7:00 pm at Padilla Bay Interpretive Center (Google map), 10441 Bayview-Edison Rd. Mount Vernon. Meetings are open to all.

The board of directors meets at the same location at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month, except for the months of July and August.
