LITTLE MOUNTAIN

Explore the trails on Little Mountain SE of Mount Vernon WA, part of the Mount Vernon City Park system.    A number of options are available.   There will be elevation gains.   Meet at 9 am in the Little Mountain parking lot located off the Little Mountain Park access road not far from the turn off from Little Mountain Road itself.  Parking lot will be on your right.    You may leave when you return from the hike.  Moderate difficulty.

Driving instructions:   

(1.)From I-5 SOUTHBOUND, take exit 225(Anderson Road exit).  Cross over the freeway and drive east on Anderson Road which will make a sweeping curve to the left; where it changes into S. Laventure.  At the 4-way stop at Blackburn  turn right on Blackburn.  In a mile or so you will come to right turn, which is the Little Mountain Road.   About 0.3 mile up the Little Mountain Road, turn right onto the Little Mountain Park access road and in a short distance turn right into the big parking lot.

Get Membership Information

Skagit Audubon Society holds monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month except for the months of July and August. We meet at 7:00 pm at Padilla Bay Interpretive Center (Google map), 10441 Bayview-Edison Rd. Mount Vernon. Meetings are open to all.

The board of directors meets at the same location at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month, except for the months of July and August.
